The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCCII) thanks everyone who attended the launch of the first-ever virtual Davao Agri Trade Expo last October 30, 2020. The online expo currently has 41 virtual exhibitors from different cities and provinces across the Philippines, and more exhibitors are expected to join in the coming days since the exhibit will run until June 2021.
“This year’s DATE is really innovative since it creates a one-stop shop for all agribusiness needs and opportunities. It also brings our farmers and suppliers to a much larger market on the internet—something that we will need to push further to help local businesses recover and be resilient given today’s realities,” says DATE 2020 chair and DCCCII Vice President for Industry Cherrylin Casuga.
She reiterated that those who wish to exhibit or are seeking buyers can still participate by contacting the chamber secretariat to book an exhibit space.
“We will be holding more online activities for agricultural stakeholders, such as webinars via the DATE website https://www.davaochamber.com/date,” Casuga added.
The launch, which was broadcasted live on Zoom and on the DCCCII Facebook page, was attended by over 900 viewers making it one of the more well attended events of the chamber.
