DAVAO CITY — A new member of the Board of Directors of Southern Philippines Development Authority (SPDA) was inducted into office by Administrator and Chief Executive Officer Abdulghani “Gerry” Ajul Salapuddin in a simple ceremony held here recently.

Dr. Celestino B. Siglos, SPDA spokesman, identified the new member of the SPDA Board of Directors as former Davao City’s Barangay Mintal Chairman Ramon Mallen Bargamento II, who is now a DUMPER Party-list coordinator.
Siglos added that the induction of Director Bargamento II by the SPDA Administrator and CEO was witnessed by high officials of the Authority.
Salapuddin is a columnist of Philippine Muslim Today with his weekly column “Southern Frontier.”
Among SPDA high officials who witnessed the induction of Bargamento II included SPDA’s Executive Committee (ExeCom) Deputy Administrator Munap H. Pacio; Operations Department Manager Cris B. Dagala; Finance & Administration Department Manager Merlinda G. Abante; Corporate Affairs Department Manager Virginia L. Uy; Corporate Board Secretary Thelma Silfide C.
