The Bangsamoro Ministry of Interior and Local Government (MILG) inaugurated and turned over on May 20, 2022, the completed Barangay Hall building to the Barangay local government unit of Patot, Pigkawayan Cluster of the Special Geographic Area under the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

MILG Minister Naguib Sinarimbo who led the inauguration and turn-over ceremony said the construction of government centers at the barangay level is one of the priorities of the Ministry to improve governance at the grassroot.

On behalf of BARMM Chief Minister Al Haj Murad Ebrahim, Sinarimbo congratulated the people of Patot.

A day earlier, a groundbreaking for the construction of a Public Market project in the municipality of Akbar, Basilan was led by Mayor Alih Sali.

So many similar projects of the Ministry are being implemented throughout the Bangsamoro territory which, in the words of Minister Sinarimbo, “…part of the infrastructure support project of our ministry to kick-start the economic activities in our municipalities and privide employment for our people while allowing LGUs to exercise their corporate powers.”

Indeed, this program of the ministry is not only a matter of statement. It is monumental. With this program, Minister Sinarimbo has chosen the right track in steering the MILG through moral governance. He is leaving legacies of putting government centers and economic infrustructure that will certainly help alleviate the Bangsamoro welfare.
